China (Chengdu)-Europe Seminar on Vocational Education and Chengdu International Vocational Education City Promotion Conference on 30th March, 2021.
Chengdu Municipality now is sparing no efforts to build Chengdu International Vocational Education City (hereinafter referred to as the CIVEC) and other demonstration bases for integration of industry development with vocational education, in order to facilitate the Chengdu for Talents with Vocational Skills project and meet the demands of talents in Chengdu's industrial economy sectors. Hence, Chengdu Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and People's Government of Jintang County, one of the district-level governments under Chengdu Municipality's administration, jointly initiate this event, in an effort to enhance experience exchange and mutual learning between Chengdu and European sister cities, vocational education institutions and professionals in this field, and further explore potential cooperation projects in vocational education for both sides.
The seminar and promotion conference will be held both online and offline. The offline venue will be set at the Investment Promotion Center of Huaizhou New City Administrative Committee in Chengdu, while online channel will be confirmed later. Domestic and foreign guests are warmly welcome to have in-depth communication and exchange on the themes such as “current situation, development tendency and international cooperation of vocational education”. A list of possible opportunity for cooperation with the CIVEC will be released on the promotion conference. We hope, through all these efforts, to explore new development opportunities for Sino-European vocational education cooperation. We will also organize a site visit to the CIVEC before the seminar and promotion conference.
